HR Officer
We are working with a leading construction organisation to recruit for a HR Officer to join their team. This is a newly created role support the Senior Management Team. The HR Officer role is permanent and based in Magherafelt.
The HR Officer will be responsible for:
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Supporting employee relations, including handling queries, grievances, and disciplinary processes.
- Maintaining accurate HR records, ensuring compliance with policies and employment legislation.
- Coordinating training and development programmes for employees.
- Assisting in performance management processes, including appraisals and feedback mechanisms.
- Promoting a positive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensuring HR policies and procedures are up to date and effectively communicated.
- Developing and implementing social value strategies aligned with project requirements.
- Coordinate apprenticeships, work experience placements, and skills development initiatives.
- Supporting delivery of corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitments.
- Track and report on social value outcomes to clients and regulatory bodies.
What you will need to have for the HR Officer role:
- Previous experience in an HR role, preferably within construction or a related industry.
- Knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and social value principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in community engagement or social value initiatives is desirable.
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) is advantageous.
