Cost Accountant
We are working with a leading FMCG manufacturer, based in Lurgan, to recruit for a Cost Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a newly created role to support the business. The Cost Accountant will manage product costings and have the responsibility for supporting financial management.
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for:
- Managing product costings across the business
- Business partnering with senior stakeholders.
- Overseeing standard cost roll-ups and evaluating their impact on stock valuation
- Maintaining master data within manufacturing systems to ensure cost and pricing accuracy
- Reporting weekly on variances including PPV, PVs, and labour.
- Supporting the post-launch review process
- Providing analysis to the Head of Finance for profitability reporting
- Contributing to finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Performing administrative tasks to support smooth business operations
What you’ll need for the Cost Accountant role:
- A qualified or part qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA)
- Experience in a similar role – Costing experience essential
- Proven track record in cost accounting, standard costing and variance analysis
- Experience with recipe management systems and ERP
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
