An award-winning company based in Co. Antrim is seeking to recruit a Bid Manager to join their bid team.  This is a permanent role and office based.

The Bid Manager will be responsible for developing compelling bids that showcase their expertise and capabilities. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills, a strong understanding of the industry, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The Bid Manager will be responsible for:

  • Lead the development and submission of high-quality tenders, from qualification to contract handover.
  • Ensure structure of the document reflects all requirements in a way that facilitates easy scoring.
  • Well written proposals from researched and orchestrated responses which convey operational, technical and commercial solutions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Design, collation, production and review of the final submission document including the ownership and writing of sections.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and internal team members, to secure support and critical input for bids.
  • Updating and integration of knowledge management within Document Management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems Monitoring and reporting monthly
  • Act as the primary point of contact for tenders with clients, addressing any questions and providing clear, detailed responses.
  • Managing competing deadlines whilst maintaining the highest levels of quality in written work

What you will need to have for the Bid Manager role:

  • Proven experience in bid management preferably within the engineering, or construction industry
  • Technically minded and able to communicate with technical teams, stakeholders, and external customers.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence as well as challenge at all stages of the bid / tender process.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven experience in Bid Management
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ideally educated to degree level
  • Writing tenders for large scale infrastructure projects would be an advantage.
